Benedictine University's Sterling Glover (Lombard, Ill./Glenbard East) led the Eagles to wins over Greenville and Fontbonne during the week and has been named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League Player of the Week on offense.
The sophomore outside hitter led the Benedictine offense with 29 kills (5.80/set) and finished the weekend with a .730 hitting percentage. Glover posted 29.0 points during the two sweeps, averaging 5.8 points per set.
The Lombard, Illinois native hammered eight kills with a .636 hitting percentage against Greenville and added 21 kills with a .769 hitting percentage in the 3-0 sweep over Fontbonne.
Benedictine (11-5, 6-0 MCVL) will travel to St. Xavier for a 7:00 PM match Thursday evening.
