MCVL, U.S.A. — The Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League (MCVL) announced its Week 10 Players of the Week on Tuesday, honoring Johnson-Kuhao Ho'Okano-Pelekai from Trine and Peyton Koszelak from Mount Union.

Ho'Okano-Pelekai earned Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season while Koszelak takes home Defensive Player of the Week accolades for the fourth time in 2026. 

Ho'Okano-Pelekai, a senior outside hitter from Hawaii, racked up 36 kills in three matches for the Thunder this week, averaging 4.0 kills per set. He hit .338 overall and also added five services aces to account for 47.0 points overall. Ho'Okano-Pelekai aided Trine to three crucial MCVL victories, all by 3-0 scores, over Olivet, Mount Union and Baldwin Wallace at home. Trine has currently won six matches in a row and are tied-first in the MCVL standings with a 5-1 overall record.

Koszelak had a strong defensive weekend for the Purple Raiders, collecting 36 digs in seven sets, an average of 5.14 digs per set. He also had just two reception errors on 29 reception attempts. The junior libero has now been named Defensive Player of the Week seven times in his career, adding his four from 2026 to three previous nods.
