North Central's Bozhidar Kolev (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Schaumburg) led the Cardinals offense during a 3-0 week and has been named the Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League Player of the Week on offense.
The freshman outside hitter led the North Central attack with 29 kills (3.22/set) and posted an impressive .532 hitting percentage. Kolev added 13 digs and three total blocks to go along with 35.0 points during the three matches.
The Hoffman Estates, Illinois native tallied eight kills with a .538 hitting percentage in a 3-0 sweep of Illinois Tech, 12 kills with a .800 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Olivet and nine kills with seven digs in a sweep of Adrian.
North Central (6-15, 4-7 MCVL) will face Marian and Lakeland in non-conference matches on Wednesday.
